Hometown Improv

I love Kingston. It was my home for 15 years growing up and those streets hold very many memories for me. Whether it was my stint at KGS, working for Lego at the Bentalls Centre or making dubious life choices at Reflex and Bacchus, I was lucky indeed to grow up in such leafy suburbia.

Well, now I’m back, albeit virtually, with a little support from my very old (now, now) friend James Johns - local business man and community builder extraordinaire - to offer Kingston locals a 4-week Introduction to Improv course.

It’s for everyone, and I mean that. Whatever background, experience or confidence level you consider yourself, this course is for you. I’ve been teaching for a long old time now and I really do love it. Improv is the perfect way to lift your spirits, exercise your funny bone and be absolutely ridiculous for an evening.

My students have said lovely things about my courses in the past if you need a bit of evidence:

“The classes were joyous and excruciating, life affirming, and endlessly funny, mistakes became opportunities to tinker & toy with new scenarios, disarray an asset. These groups became a community & the trust built between us on stage spilled over into offstage care and support. So Ali is not only highly adept at creating a safe and nurturing space in which to play but is also a community builder.” Clare, Artist, Brighton

So get in touch if you want to get involved, I’d love to see your faces.
